Visit Pentwater and Hart this Winter! We’ve added some new activities to this year’s festival. On Saturday, February 11th, there’s a Pentwater Lake Perch Fishing Tournament, Freezin’ for a Reason (Polar Dip) for Crystal Valley Care Fund, Pentwater Pathways Open for X-Country Skiing, Corks & Canvas Benefit for Andre’ Bosse Center, Hoola Hoop Benefit, and a Live Band at the Village Pub. On Saturday, February 17th & 18th, there is the Friday Night Lights Broomball Tournament with Pre and Post Parties at Schooners Bar & Grille, Hart Lake Fishing Tournament, Free Fishing Weekend, Snow Putt Putt Golf, Snowshoe and Skis in Pentwater, Championship Broomball Championship Match with Pre and Post Parties at The Antler Bar, Beer Tasting to Benefit C.O.V.E, John Gurney Park Open for X-Country Skiing, Drag Queen Show, and Mardi Gras Party at the Antler Bar. Pentwater Lake Perch Fishing Tournament Sat, Feb 11
Registration at Pentwater Angler: 8-noon Tournament: 8 am-4pm Awards: 4:30pm Fish Pentwater Lake for Perch. A GRAND PRIZE, valued at $150, and a trophy will be awarded to the fisherman (kid or adult) with the longest Perch caught in Pentwater Lake and brought to ‘Cenzo’s Italian Market & Grocery by 4pm. Kids will be awarded Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes. Pre-registration at ‘Cenzo’s Pentwater Market and Grocery, Pentwater Angler. Registration fee is $5 per adult, Kids 15 and younger $2, or Families of 4 or more $10. Freezin’ for a Reason (Polar Dip)
Feb 11 at 12:00 at the Noon Whistle Proceeds in 2010: Over $800. Jump in and freeze in Pentwater Lake for a good cause. Support Crystal Valley Care fund, who supported over 100 families with catastrophic illness and house fires with vouchers for food and gas last year. Sign-up to jump in and Freeze or sponsor an individual to Freeze. Pick up your sponsor sheets and register at the Pentwater Chamber of Commerce or pentwater.org website. Those that jump with at least a $50 donation and the first 40 will receive our Freezin’ for a Reason in Pentwater t-shirt. We’re calling all businesses , organizations and families to sponsor a jumper for $50.00. Get your name on the Freezin’ for a Reason t-shirt and support a good cause. Hart Lake Fishing Tournament Sat. Feb 18 at 7:30am-12pm Take part in the 2nd annual Hart Lake Ice Fishing tournament brought to you by Hart Main Street. This year’s tournament will offer three competitions: Longest pan fish, longest pike or walleye, and for kids 15 and under longest fish of any species. There will be an awards ceremony immediately following the tournament at Schooners Bar & Grille. Prizes will be awarded to the winner of each competition plus all participants will be entered to win a door prize. Hart Boy Scouts will be selling refreshments. Pre-Registration forms may be picked up at the Hart Main Street Office (49 S. State St), Country Boy Bait and Tackle, Hart City Hall (407 State St.) or can be downloaded from the City of Hart website www.ci.hart.mi.us/ or the Pentwater Chamber website www.pentwater.org.
