Technology is growing at an exponential rate, and Pentwater Public Schools has embraced the technology movement. Each year we make a concerted effort to move forward with our technology infrastructure. In an effort to prepare ourselves for the use of individual mobile devices, Wi-Fi accessibility is now available throughout the district. We will be installing a switch so it will be available for guest use also. A big thank you goes out to Jason Gale, Technology Director, and Phil Debrot, Technology Assistant, for their effort in making this project happen. |

The Pentwater High School student council is participating in the WZZM 13 “Toys for Tots" challenge. This challenge creates a competition between area schools and communities to donate toys for less fortunate children. All of Pentwaters' donated toys will be given to families throughout the Oceana County area. The student council will be accepting toys until December 9, 2011. All toys must be new and unwrapped. If you would like to donate, a box is located in the school’s main lobby. |

Tuesday, November 15, 2011 Officers (6 members) of the PHS National Honor Society volunteered two hours of their time to help the Feeding America Food Truck food distribution. Under the supervision of Mary Hiddema and other volunteer coordinators students moved yogurt crates, sorted large boxes of potatoes and helped assemble and deliver boxes of food for families in need. Students said it was fun (although climbing in potato boxes can be smelly!) and definitely want to do it again! |
