SKI FREE SUNDAYS

Sunday, January 12, 26, and February 9, 2025, 1:00-4:00 pm*
Crystal Valley Ski Trail, 1801 E. River Rd., Hart, MI

The Oceana Cross Country Ski Association invites the public to use its adult and
children’s equipment for FREE on a FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVED basis. All
children must be accompanied by an adult.

Maybe you’ve had some experience cross-country skiing or just want to try it out
and introduce the sport to your children. OCCSA volunteers will be on hand to get
you outfitted with the proper ski boots, skis, and poles and will instruct you in
some of the basics. The Crystal Valley Ski Trails, located in the Manistee National
Forest, offer easy, moderate, and challenging trails for all levels. Parents of young
children must ski with them and plan on skiing for about one hour. It’s especially
important for little ones to be dressed appropriately with mid-calf to knee-high
socks, hat, gloves or mittens, snow pants, etc.

OCCSA is an all-volunteer grass roots organization, founded in 1996, and it
maintains trails at both Crystal Valley and Pentwater Pathways. For updated
information based on weather and snow availability, you can find Oceana Cross
Country Ski Association on Face Book or check website @ oceanaski.org .
*Please note: all skiers need to be finished skiing, returning equipment,
changing into their own footwear NO LATER THAN 4:00 pm.
