Website Pentwater Pathway is located in the Pere Marquette Sate Forest and is under the care of OCCSA and the Michigan Wildlife Division of the DNR. There are 7.2 different tail miles in the Pentwater Pathway system. Ski and Snow Shoe in Oceana County (by Lynne Cavazos) Pentwater Pathways There are 7.2 different tail miles in the Pentwater Pathway system. If you ski each loop, duplicating some legs, there are over 15 miles. These trails are within the Pere Marquette Stte Forest, just south of Pentwater on Wayne road. The pathways are groomed by the Oceana Cross-Country Association. No Restrooms available. Access: The sandy dirt area is basically a widened space in the road. Restrictions: No motorized vehicles. The trail was build for ski use and is groomed in the winter. Please snowshoe beside groomed trails rather than in them. Distance and Time: 7.2 different miles of trails. Do as many loops as you wish. Tredway and Grade: Sandy forest soil, wide pathway for skiing. Flat to moderate grade with slightly steeper hills in loop 4. One steep hill north form point 4 1/2. |
