All high school students have an opportunity to participate in the Poetry Outloud contest on January 30th at 7:00 p.m. Poetry Outloud is a national competition where local winners advance to a state level competition and the state winner qualifies for the national finals. Students are expected to recite two poems from memory. This is a great opportunity for students to begin to understand and appreciate poetry. This event will be held in Mr. Magrath’s room. Participation by the public is encouraged.

Written by Pentwater Chamber
Thursday, 26 January 2012 11:25

Now is the time to send e-mails or letters to our two U. S. Senators Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow. Ask them to pass Senate Bill 412 which will provide funds so that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers can dredge the Pentwater harbor and channel.

Mail letters to:

Senator Carl Levin, 269 Russell Senate Office Building, Washington, DC 20510

Senator Debbie Stabenow, 133 Hart Senate Office Building, Washington, DC 20510

Or contact them by going on their website and click on "Contact Me" to send a message.

Senator Levins's website is: levin.senate.gov or Senator Stabenow's website is: stabenow.senate.gov

Juanita Pierman, Pentwater Village President, has provided her letter to Senator Carl Levin as an example.

Thank you for your support in Passing this Bill.
