THE PURPOSE OF THE PENTWATER ARTS COUNCIL IS TO SUPPORT THE ARTS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO VISUAL, THEATER, MUSIC AND PERFORMING ARTS AND TO ADVANCE ARTS EDUCATION WITHIN PENTWATER, MICHIGAN AS WELL AS OCEANA COUNTY, MICHIGAN.
SEVERAL EVENTS ARE HOSTED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.

The Pentwater Arts Council is pleased to present the 2023 Oceana County Student Art Show. The show will feature the 2-D and 3-D artwork of K through 12 students from Hart, Oceana Christian, Pentwater, Shelby and Walkerville Schools.

This year’s exhibit will be held at the Oceana County Council on Aging located at 4250 W. Tyler Rd in Hart. The show is open to the public from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday May 12th and from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm on Saturday May 13th.

A panel of judges will be awarding 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons in six categories as well as “Best in Show”. The public is invited to cast their votes for the People’s Choice awards. In total the Pentwater Arts Council will be awarding over $2,000 in prize money to the schools and students.

The event is free and light refreshments will be available. The Pentwater Arts Council looks forward to seeing you at the Council on Aging May 12th or May 13th to support our area schools’ art students.
