Drop your anchor here, we’ve been a family campground on West Michigan’s Gold Coast since 1913. Located on a peninsula between Bass Lake and Lake Michigan we are a beach campground, the ideal place for you and your family to spend your summer. We have a safe, sandy, private beach on Bass Lake and it is only a short, eight minute walk to an off the beaten path, beautiful, white sand, public beach on Lake Michigan.

History of Whispering Surf Camping Resort
Whispering Surf Camping Resort is forested with white pine, oak and white birch and nestled between the clear blue waters of Bass Lake and the white “singing sands” of Lake Michigan. Relax in a quiet area, tucked away in the slow-moving pace of the North woods. Enjoy our clean, safe, private Bass Lake beach! Or if Lake Michigan’s moody waters intrigue you; swim, relax and enjoy one of the world’s finest beaches. A white, sugar sand beach like found no where else in the world, listen to the music of the sand as you walk across it.

CAMPING RATES REQUEST AN ONLINE RESERVATION
RESERVATIONS ARE TAKEN VIA THE WEB ANYTIME. Reservations are needed for the end of June, July and August and for holidays. A credit card guarantee is required to reserve a campsite. Check out 12 PM and Check in by 3 PM

Dorothy Cottage at Whispering Surf Campground – 3 BR, ( 2 Queen – 2 Twin2 ) sleeps 6. $1300 week plus tax and cleaning. Full Bath, Nicely appointed Kitchenette. Complete renovation completed in 2017. Access to private beach on Bass Lake – 5 minute walk to Lake Michigan. Boat rentals available. Must provide your own linens and towels.
Davis Cottage at Whispering Surf – 2 BR ( 2 Queen ) sleeps 4. $1,000 week plus tax and cleaning. Full Bath, Nicely appointed Kitchenette. Complete renovation completed in 2017. Campsite cancellations outside of 10 days full refund less a $20 cancellation fee with the exception of holidays and groups booking 4 or more sites which require a 30 day notice for full refund less $20 per site– if cancelled inside cancellation period a refund could be issued less a one night charge IF the site can be re-booked. Inside 10 days or early departures, sorry, no refunds. Refer to our website for cottage cancellation policy.
Low Season Gas Saver ~ May 1 – Jun 15 and Sep 7 – Oct 15. Book two weekends in a row and leave your RV on-site, unhooked from electric, free! Second weekend must be paid in full prior to departure – no refunds.
