2024 Oceana Student Art Show WINNERS

Oceana Student Artists were celebrated during a two day art exhibit sponsored by the Pentwater Arts Council, held on May 3rd & 4th at the Oceana County Council on Aging in Hart.  This years Student Art Show marks the ninth year the arts council has sponsored the exhibition encouraging student creativity and highlighting their efforts.

Student entries from Oceana County elementary, middle and high school art students were juried by local professional artists.  The Pentwater Arts Council allocated $2230 for monetary awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in 2 and 3D Art, Best in Show and the People’s Choice Award in the three school levels. Student artist, Kamryn Taylor, created the 2024 Student Art Show poster, used for publicity, and was also awarded for her creation.

Community support of this years Student Art Show was overwhelming, attendance was brisk and the People’s Choice Award was decided by their in-person voting.  Student Art Winners were announced at the conclusion of the exhibit, awards presented and a reception followed.  The Pentwater Arts Council is proud to recognize the following awardees in 2 and 3D Art:

Oceana County Student Art Show
The Pentwater Arts Council invites you to the Student Art Show, a juried exhibit of art work created by students in Oceana Schools and home schooled students within the county.
Friday, May 3rd, 4-7 PM
Saturday, May 4th, 10 AM-5 PM
Oceana County Community on Aging, 4250 W. Tyler, Hart
Monetary awards will be presented in 1st-2nd-3rd place in Elementary, Middle and High Schools divisions, Best of Show in each division and, local Artists will serve as jurors for these awards. The People’s Choice Award, voted on by the public, is your chance to view all student art submissions and decide on your favorite piece.
Support your Oceana Community Students and vote for your favorite art submission for the People’s Choice Award. In-person public voting for this award will take place on Friday, May 3rd, 4-7 PM through Saturday, May 4th 10 AM until 2 PM. Winners in all categories will be announced on Saturday, May 4th at 2:30 PM followed by a reception.
